Grief Is complex. It can leave us chaotic, profoundly sad, anxious, scared, and adrift in a sea of unexplainable emotions and “feelings” in our body. Or maybe just numb. How we experience grief is unique to each person. What brings us together is the common experience of pain, and the desire to ease it in some way. Often that way is to try and avoid the grief and pain. But the only way to really grieve…is to grieve.
Over the course of 6 weeks (2 hours each week), Grounding in Grief © will focus on the mind/body connection with grief. Utilizing the combined strengths of psychological education, emotional support, and yoga teaching and practice, Sandra, Trish, and Cathy will walk with you on a journey towards understanding how grief manifests mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We will guide you through meditative practices and practical teachings to develop a tool kit you can use every day to ground yourself in your grief.
